PERFECT Morning Everybody!
Here are your 3 golden nuggets for the week:
- “You choose change or change will choose you.” – Anonymous
When I reflect upon 2018, there were some things where change chose me! For example, my mid-year job resignation followed by relentless soul searching. While I ultimately had to “choose” these options, they really chose me. I needed it. And it is without a doubt what I am MOST grateful for in 2018. How about you? What big changes do you need to make in 2019 that could change the trajectory of your life, business, or relationships? Do what needs to be done. Accept it will be scary. This is a part of the territory that comes with the success you desire. Make the decisions that need to be made and then pull the trigger. We are in this together!
- “Be Kind. Share your toys.” – Kindergarten Class
A man recently volunteered at an elementary school and saw this sign immediately upon entering the classroom. This simple yet profound statement reaches depths much deeper than a kindergarten classroom and encompasses true, innate wisdom. Imagine the peace, love, and joy this world would be overflowing with if every individual abide by this statute for one single day. Share your toys. Share your knowledge. Share your gifts with the world. The future is all about sharing because the more we can get people to share, the faster we can grow as a society and the happier and more fulfilled we will all be!
- “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” – Will Durant
With the New Year around the corner, many of us are creating New Year’s Resolutions in hope of bettering our lives financially, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. As you construct your resolutions, I encourage you to keep this quote in mind. There is a reason why gyms are overflowing with people in January and essentially empty come February. The key lies in consistency! If you consistently hit the SNOOZE button every morning, what makes you think the next day or week or month will be any different? When one consistently underperforms, one is by definition, an Underperformer. Conversely, when one is consistently excellent, one has achieved Excellence. All good habits precede excellence. Don’t wait for the New Year. Start RIGHT NOW!
